NIFRS Learning & Development Cookstown
The project involves the development and construction of a new Learning and Development Centre with classrooms that will provide a national base for high quality standardised training and education for the NIFRS. The facility will include a specialist driving and road traffic collision training area and a training environment for collapsed buildings and below ground rescue.
The training space will also include a flood water rescue training facility and a ‘call-out village’, to allow Firefighters to complete realistic training in a simulated environment where hazards and scenarios can be safely recreated.
The Project includes the following:
•Associated services and drainage;
•Groundworks including removal of surplus excavated material;
•Construction of new fully serviced educational centre and training facilities;
•Site clearance including removal of trees no longer required;
